Dr Shantiban Shanmugam

GP Specialist and Skin Cancer Doctor

Dr Shantiban Shanmugam received his MBBS from Western Sydney University in 2016. He then went on to complete a Master of Medicine at the University of Queensland with a focus on Skin Cancer detection and removal.

He has worked throughout NSW at a variety of hospitals including: Concord, Canterbury, the SAN, Oberon, Brisbane Waters and Braeside Hospitals. He is also involved in teaching, holding a senior lecturer position at the University of Queensland.

Dr. Shantiban performs general skin checks as well as biopsies and excisions. He has a keen interest in preventative medicine, in particular prevention of melanoma and non melanoma skin cancers.

Outside of work Shantiban has a love for the outdoors, particularly distance running and hiking. He is excited to bring his energy and expertise to The Esplanade Medical Practice.
